We are looking out for Net Metering engineer for Delhi/Noida/Gurugoan/Pune / Bangalore locations.

1. Job Purpose

To manage and coordinate the complete net metering process for rooftop solar projects, ensuring timely application submission, documentation, liaison with DISCOM officials, meter installation, inspection, commissioning and approval as per applicable electricity regulations and DISCOM guidelines.

2. Key Roles & Responsibilities

A. Net Metering Application & Documentation

Prepare and submit online/offline net metering applications to the concerned DISCOM.
Handle applications for new rooftop solar connections and existing electricity consumers.
Verify consumer details, electricity bills, sanctioned load, ownership documents and other required paperwork.
Ensure applications are submitted accurately and within prescribed timelines.




Track application status and resolve documentation-related objections.

B. DISCOM Coordination & Liaison

Coordinate with DISCOM officials, JE, AE, SDO and other concerned departments.
Follow up on technical feasibility approvals and net metering permissions.
Coordinate for site inspections and technical verification.
Resolve queries, objections and pending approvals with DISCOM authorities.
Maintain professional relationships with relevant DISCOM personnel.

C. Meter Installation & Commissioning

Coordinate net meter procurement, testing and installation.
Arrange for site readiness and inspection by DISCOM officials.
Coordinate meter replacement or installation, as applicable.
Ensure synchronization and commissioning formalities are completed.
Obtain meter installation reports, commissioning certificates and related approvals.

D. Project Coordination

Coordinate with the Sales, Design, Procurement and Project Execution teams.
Collect project details, inverter specifications, solar plant capacity and electrical drawings.
Ensure all technical documents comply with applicable DISCOM requirements.
Maintain a project-wise tracker for net metering applications and approvals.
Ensure timely closure of net metering activities after project installation.

E. MIS & Reporting

Maintain daily and weekly net metering status reports.
Track application submission, feasibility approval, inspection,



meter installation and commissioning.
Prepare pending-case reports and highlight bottlenecks.
Maintain digital and physical records of all applications and approvals.

3. Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
13 years of experience in solar EPC, net metering or DISCOM coordination preferred.
Knowledge of rooftop solar net metering procedures.
Understanding of electricity bills, sanctioned load, single-line diagrams (SLD), inverter specifications and electrical systems.
Familiarity with DISCOM portals and online application procedures.
Good communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and email communication.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely submission of net metering applications.
Percentage of applications approved without documentation errors.
Average turnaround time for net metering approvals.
Number of pending applications and resolution time.
Timely completion of meter installation and commissioning.
Accuracy of documentation and MIS reporting.
Effective coordination with DISCOM authorities.

5. Preferred Experience

Experience working with rooftop solar EPC companies.
Knowledge of state-specific net metering regulations and applicable electricity commission guidelines.
