About the Role

We are looking for an early-career SDET to join our QA engineering team. You will help build and maintain automated test suites across web UI and API layers, working closely with developers and QA engineers to ship reliable, high-quality software. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys both writing code and breaking things, and who wants to grow into a strong automation engineer.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts for web UI using Selenium (Java) and Playwright (TypeScript).

- Build and execute automated API tests using Playwright.

- Write clear, reproducible test cases and translate functional requirements into test scenarios.

- Execute manual, exploratory, and regression testing when automation coverage is incomplete.

- Log defects with detailed reproduction steps, triage issues, and verify fixes.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test runs.

- Collaborate with developers, product, and QA teammates to catch issues early in the development cycle.

- Contribute to improving test frameworks, coverage, and overall quality processes.

Required Skills Qualifications

- 5-8 years of experience in test automation.

- Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Java or TypeScript preferred).

- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright or Cypress.





- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.

- Understanding of software testing fundamentals: test case design, regression, functional, and exploratory testing.

- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.

- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.

- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).

- Exposure to TestNG or JUnit test frameworks.

- Understanding of BDD frameworks (Cucumber).

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Basic knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter).

- Awareness of cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker).

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
