Role & responsibilities

- Study customer requirements (kW / kVA rating, voltage, step size, cooling, enclosure, controls) and convert them into a design.
- Size resistor elements, contactors, breakers, busbars, cables and fans for the required load and duty cycle.
- Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and GA drawings in SolidWorks.
- Create BOMs, cable schedules and terminal schedules, and release them to purchase and production.
- Handle drawing revisions and customer approvals; keep drawing numbers and versions controlled.
- Support production and QC with technical clarifications and design change requests.
- Standardize designs and component libraries to cut quotation and engineering time.

Preferred candidate profile





- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 2 to 6 years in electrical panel, control panel design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Electricals preferred.
- Sound knowledge of LV components: MCCB, MCB, contactors, relays, CTs, meters, busbar and cable sizing.
- Understanding of IS / IEC standards for LV panels.
- Good Excel skills for calculations and BOMs.

Positive to have: PLC or microcontroller-based control panel experience; thermal and heat dissipation calculations; 3D CAD (SolidWorks) for enclosure layout.
