Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Partner to lead and strengthen the Corporate & Commercial Litigation practice of a reputed Law Firm. The candidate should have substantial experience handling complex commercial disputes, corporate litigation, arbitration and matters before various courts and tribunals.

The role requires strong legal expertise, strategic case management, client relationship management and the ability to independently lead litigation matters and mentor a team of associates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate & Commercial Litigation

- Handle and oversee complex General, corporate and commercial disputes.
- Represent clients before High Courts, District Courts, Commercial Courts and other judicial forums.
- Handle contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes and company-related litigation.
- Advise clients on commercial disputes, corporate governance issues and legal risk management.

2. Arbitration & Dispute Resolution

- Handle domestic and international commercial arbitration matters.
- Experience in arbitration proceedings, interim applications, enforcement and execution of arbitral awards.
- Advise clients on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and settlement strategies.

3. Tribunal & Regulatory Litigation

- Handle matters before NCLT, NCLAT and other relevant tribunals.




- Experience in insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings under the IBC.
- Handle company law disputes, oppression and mismanagement matters and related proceedings.

4. Client & Practice Management

- Independently manage key client relationships and provide strategic legal advice.
- Lead client conferences, case strategy discussions and negotiations.
- Develop new client relationships and contribute to business development.
- Manage litigation portfolios and ensure timely delivery of legal services.

5. Team Leadership

- Lead, supervise and mentor associates and junior advocates.
- Review pleadings, petitions, written submissions and legal opinions.
- Ensure quality control, effective delegation and timely case management.

Desired Candidate Profile

- LL.B. degree from a recognised university.
- 15+ years of post-qualification experience in Corporate & Commercial Litigation.
- Strong experience appearing before High Courts, Commercial Courts and Tribunals.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial laws, Companies Act, Arbitration & Conciliation Act and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code.
- Proven ability to independently handle complex litigation matters.
- Robust drafting, arguing, negotiation and client-management skills.
- Established professional network and ability to contribute to the growth of the practice.

Preferred Background

Candidates currently associated with reputed law firms or having an established independent litigation practice, with demonstrable experience in handling corporate and commercial disputes.
