We are seeking a highly skilled Press Machine Operator & Die Setter to join our manufacturing team. In this

dual-responsibility role, you will lead the end-to-end setup, operation, and troubleshooting of heavy metal stamping presses,

specifically focusing on Transfer Presses and Progressive Tool Presses. You will change out heavy tooling, program

automation systems, and manufacture precision components for high-demand sectors like automotive, electronics, and

furniture fittings

Role & responsibilities :

Die Setting & Machinery Setup

- Die Installation & Alignment: Safely install, align, and secure complex progressive and transfer dies into mechanical or hydraulic presses using overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools.
- Transfer Bar & Automation Setting: Set up, synchronize, and adjust transfer bars, gripper fingers, and pitch profiles to ensure flawless part progression between die stations without collisions.
- Feed & Coil Setup: Load heavy steel coils onto motorized decoilers, feed raw stock through straighteners, and program electronic servo feeders for precise progression tracking.

Production & Inspection

- Machine Operation: Run production lots efficiently, constantly monitoring tonnage monitors, sensor readouts, and part-outfeed counters to hit daily volume targets.
- Precision Inspection: Read and interpret engineered manufacturing drawings (blueprints) accurately.



Use checking fixtures and precision inspection gaugesincluding calipers, micrometers, depth verniers, thread gauges, and go/no-go pinsto ensure strict dimensional tolerances.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

- Basic Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve minor press faults and tooling issues on the fly (e.g., clearing material misfeeds, adjusting strip lifting pins, correcting progression slip, or fixing sensor faults) to minimize downtime.
- Preventative Care: Perform routine machine maintenance, verify automation lubrication lines, clean die surfaces, and follow structured 5S workplace organization practices

Preferred candidate profile

- 25+ years of experience in Metal Stamping, Press Machine Operation, and Independent Die Setting.
- Hands-on experience with Transfer Press, Progressive Die Press, die changeovers, and transfer bar adjustments.
- Experience in Automotive, Electronics, Sheet Metal, or Furniture Hardware manufacturing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings; GD&T; knowledge preferred.
- Proficient in using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of press tooling, machine troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Physically fit to handle manufacturing activities and adaptable to work in rotational shifts (Morning, Evening & Night).
