We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, governance, and optimization of cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining cloud architecture, disaster recovery strategies, backup and business continuity frameworks, application modernization initiatives, cloud security, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.

The Cloud Architect will collaborate with development, DevOps, operations, security, and business teams to ensure scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture Solution Design

- Design enterprise-grade Azure cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.

- Define landing zone architecture, networking, identity, security, governance, and operational standards.

- Review and approve cloud solution designs and implementation approaches.

- Lead architecture reviews and technical governance initiatives.

- Provide guidance on scalability, high availability, performance optimization, and cloud cost management.

Backup Business Continuity

- Define and review backup and recovery strategies for Azure workloads.

- Establish and validate RPO/RTO requirements.

- Design backup solutions for:

- Azure Blob Storage

- Azure App Configuration

- Azure Key Vault

- Azure Database for PostgreSQL

- Approve backup policies, retention strategies, and restore procedures.

- Conduct backup recovery and restore validation exercises.

Disaster Recovery Planning

- Design and implement multi-region Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.

- Define DR architecture for:

- Azure App Services

- Azure App Configuration

- Azure Database for PostgreSQL

- Azure Storage Accounts

- Key Vault

- Design traffic routing and failover using Azure Traffic Manager.

- Lead DR drills, failover testing, failback validation, and business continuity assessments.

- Ensure DR compliance with recovery objectives and operational standards.

Cloud Security Governance





- Define security architecture and governance controls.

- Design solutions leveraging:

- Azure Key Vault

- Managed Identities

- RBAC

- Private Endpoints

- Azure Policies

- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security requirements.

- Review cloud deployments for security best practices and risk mitigation.

Monitoring Observability

- Design enterprise monitoring and observability solutions.

- Define monitoring architecture using:

- Azure Monitor

- Application Insights

- Log Analytics Workspace

- Azure Workbooks

- Metric Alerts

- Action Groups

- KQL-based Alert Rules

- Establish operational dashboards and telemetry standards.

- Drive reliability engineering and proactive monitoring practices.

Application Modernization

Lead modernization initiatives involving:

- Azure App Configuration

- Azure Table Storage

- Azure Database for PostgreSQL

- Design migration strategies and data architecture.

- Collaborate with application teams on refactoring and modernization roadmaps.

- Review security, connectivity, and performance considerations for cloud-native applications.

DevOps Automation

Define Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards.

Drive automation using:

- Github Actions

- Terraform

- PowerShell

- CI/CD Pipelines

- Establish deployment standards across production and DR environments.

- Promote automation-first operational practices.

Documentation Stakeholder Management

- Create architecture documents, design decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures.

- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and technical workshops.

- Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, security teams,



and engineering teams.

- Provide architectural leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
