Our client is a technology company based in Jaipur, India, building a next-generation, AI-native enterprise platform for the global maritime and shipping industry. Its first product is being developed for a leading Singapore-based shipping company, with stakeholders and operations spanning Singapore, India, Europe, and the United States.

The company is focused on transforming complex maritime business operations through intelligent, scalable, secure, and technology-driven enterprise solutions.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Full Stack Developer to join the Fleet Systems / Technology team and contribute to the development of a next-generation, AI-enabled Maritime ERP and Fleet Management platform.

The role involves end-to-end application development, covering UI/UX prototyping, frontend engineering, backend development, database architecture, API integration, testing, and cloud deployment.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into reliable, scalable, and user-friendly software applications.

The developer will work closely with the Technology Head, Technical Architect, and specialist teams to build, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications. The position also requires effective use of modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software development, improve productivity, and deliver high-quality solutions.

IDEAL CANDIDATE SNAPSHOT

- 35 years of hands-on experience in full-stack web application development.

- Strong expertise in React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

- Experience developing production-grade enterprise applications, business software, ERP systems, or workflow-driven platforms.

- Strong understanding of REST API development, database design, and frontend-backend integration.

- Practical experience with NestJS or Express.js and modern UI frameworks.

- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.

- Ability to independently develop, debug, test, optimize, and maintain application modules.

The developer will contribute to building reliable application components and intelligent technology solutions, translating complex operational workflows into practical software functionality while ensuring performance, security, maintainability, and seamless integration across the platform.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. UI/UX Design & Application Prototyping

- Create application wireframes, screen layouts, and interactive working prototypes using Figma.

- Translate business requirements and operational workflows into intuitive user interfaces.

- Develop clickable prototypes to demonstrate application functionality and gather stakeholder feedback.

- Collaborate with business users to refine application screens, navigation, and user experience before development.

- Maintain consistency in UI design, usability, and application standards.

2. Frontend Development

- Develop responsive and interactive web applications using React.js and TypeScript.

- Build user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3,



JavaScript (ES6+), and Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.

- Develop reusable React components and maintain clean, modular, and maintainable code.

- Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

- Troubleshoot and optimize frontend performance.

3. Backend Development & API Integration

- Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js with TypeScript.

- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs using NestJS or Express.js.

- Implement application business logic, authentication, authorization, and data validation.

- Handle server-side processing, error management, and application security.

- Ensure productive communication and seamless integration between frontend applications and backend services.

- Develop scalable and maintainable backend modules following established technical architecture.

4. Database Development & Management

- Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.

- Create and optimize SQL queries, joins, views, stored procedures, and database functions.

- Design database schemas, relationships, indexes, and constraints.

- Work with Prisma ORM, Drizzle ORM, or equivalent database tooling.

- Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and performance.

- Perform database troubleshooting and optimization.

5. AI-Assisted Application Development

- Leverage AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, Claude, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding, prototyping, debugging, and development activities.

- Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve development productivity and software quality.

- Review, validate, debug, and optimize AI-generated code independently.

- Apply sound programming fundamentals and engineering judgment while using AI-generated solutions.

6. Testing, Deployment & Application Maintenance

- Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis and development to testing and deployment.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, Vitest, and Playwright.

- Use Git-based development workflows, GitHub/GitLab, version control, and code reviews.

- Support application deployment using Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

- Identify and resolve application bugs, technical issues, and performance bottlenecks.

- Maintain technical documentation and established development standards.

- Support ongoing application enhancements and production issues.

7. Offline Functionality & Application Reliability

- Understand and implement browser-based offline capabilities using IndexedDB and local storage.

- Work with data synchronization patterns to support reliable application functionality.

- Ensure application stability, data consistency, and reliable performance across different operating conditions.

8. Collaboration & Business Requirement Analysis

- Work closely with the Technical Architect, Fleet Systems team, and business stakeholders.

- Understand complex business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Collaborate with internal developers, external vendors,



and specialist teams.

- Support the development of enterprise applications catering to shipboard and shore-based maritime operations.

- Manage multiple development activities and deliver assigned tasks within agreed timelines.

- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
