Duties and Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and control systems.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
- Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical specifications to plan wiring layouts.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components safely.
- Direct and train electrician helpers or apprentices as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

- Technical Expertise: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing meters (voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes).
- Problem-Solving: Robust critical thinking skills to troubleshoot complex electrical failures.
