Position: BioInformatics Experts
Type: Contract
Compensation: $90–$110/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

- Complete realistic, multi-step scientific data-analysis tasks in bioinformatics .
- Write original bioinformatics questions with exact and objective answers.
- Choose and anonymize data from public archives like GEO , SRA/ENA , ArrayExpress , PRIDE , PDB , MGnify , or your unpublished lab data for model analysis.
- Use scientific software, code, and command-line tools to generate reproducible analyses and structured outputs.
- Develop a Jupyter validation notebook using Python or R to reproduce correct answers.
- Interpret results in the context of biological or translational questions, communicating assumptions, uncertainty, and conclusions clearly.

Qualifications

Must-Have

- Master's or PhD in bioinformatics , computational biology , genomics , statistical genetics , quantitative biology ,



or a related field.
- Hands-on experience analyzing sequencing and omics data, including RNA-seq , WGS/WES , variant calling, metagenomics , or proteomics .
- Experience with tools like samtools , bcftools , bedtools , BWA , Bowtie2 , BLAST , Python (pandas , Biopython , pysam ) or R/Bioconductor (DESeq2 , edgeR , limma , GenomicRanges ).
- Ability to write and run Jupyter notebooks that reproduce work exactly.
- Explicit, precise scientific writing.

Preferred

- Access to unpublished or private datasets you can share.
- Deep knowledge of a niche area, such as a non-model organism, unusual assay, or specialized genomic interpretation.
