Operations Manager – Primary Care Clinic, Kollam

About Us
We are a primary care clinic with over 23 years of continuous service, operating under a healthcare company. Our team includes 4 full-time doctors supported by approximately 25 employees across 4 operational departments. We serve a steady patient base across the region and are committed to delivering consistent, quality healthcare to our community.

Role Overview
This is a turnaround and development role. We are not looking for someone to manage a polished, well-oiled branch. We are looking for someone to take full ownership of it, raise it to a higher standard, and build it into what it should be.

The Operations Manager will be the person fully in charge of the branch. From day one, the expectation is to assess, reorganise, and drive meaningful change across operations, team performance, revenue, and service quality. KPIs and targets are applicable to this role and will be reviewed on a defined cycle. This role suits a communicative, energetic candidate who is excited by the challenge of building something rather than maintaining it.

Freshers kindly avoid applying.

Key Responsibilities

- Take complete charge of the branch and assume full accountability for its performance and outcomes
- Assess current operations, identify gaps, and execute a structured plan to raise standards across all 4 departments
- Oversee and coordinate consultation, pharmacy, laboratory, and patient service functions
- Drive branch revenue growth through operational improvements, service development, and business initiatives
- Lead, develop,

and hold accountable a team of approximately 25 employees across operational departments
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions for branch-level roles
- Maintain discipline, professional conduct, and a performance-oriented work culture
- Ensure a consistently high standard of patient and customer experience
- Prepare and execute branch development projects with defined timelines and measurable results
- Meet assigned KPIs and targets covering revenue, service quality, team performance, and audit outcomes
- Communicate clearly and consistently with the central team — status updates, escalations, and coordination across departments
- Be fully cooperative and prepared for periodic process audits and financial audits conducted by company partners or an assigned audit team
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and facility maintenance standards are upheld at all times
- Serve as the single point of accountability for everything that happens at the branch

Working Hours
Morning shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Evening shift: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Weekly off: Rotational

What We Offer
Performance-based incentives linked to KPI achievement, revenue growth, audit outcomes, and successful implementation of approved business initiatives. Accommodation allowance will be provided. Leave entitlement includes Casual Leave, Sick Leave,

and other Paid Leaves as per company policy.

Employment Terms
Probation period of 6 months. A 3-year employment agreement is expected, with a 60-day notice period applicable to either party.

Ideal Candidate

- Minimum 10 years total work experience, with at least 6 years in a managerial or operations head role
- Proven track record in management — ideally in healthcare, clinic, or a multi-department retail or service setting
- Demonstrated ability to step into an underperforming setup and drive real, measurable improvement
- Strong people leadership with the capability to develop teams, conduct interviews, and build a disciplined work culture
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify revenue opportunities and drive branch growth
- Comfortable operating against strict KPIs and targets, with full financial accountability
- Communicative and energetic — proactive in flagging issues and coordinating with the central team rather than going quiet
- A self-starter who takes initiative without waiting to be directed
- Committed to long-term contribution — this is a role to build something, not pass through
- Freshers need not apply
