Role overview. Teach piano and keyboard live online to children and adults, from first notes to graded-exam level. You will build strong reading, technique and musicianship while keeping learners motivated with music they enjoy.

Key responsibilities

- Teach posture, hand position, finger technique, scales, arpeggios and chords
- Teach staff notation and sight-reading, plus music theory and ear training
- Build repertoire across classical, pop, film and Bollywood, including playing by ear and chord-based accompaniment
- Prepare learners for graded exams (Trinity, ABRSM, LCM, Rockschool) where requested
- Use a top-down or side camera angle so learners can see your hands clearly; correct technique in real time
- Share sheet music and practice plans; track progress on the dashboard across 12 to 96 session plans
- Keep sessions punctual and follow MakRew's code of conduct and child-safety policy

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching piano or keyboard online
- Strong playing technique, reading ability and music theory knowledge
- Ability to give at least 6 hours per week to MakRew
- Fluent spoken English
- Your own piano or full-size keyboard, and a camera set-up showing the keys and your hands

Preferred

- Graded certificates (e.g. Trinity, ABRSM, LCM) or a music degree or diploma
- Experience preparing students for exams and recitals
- A strong social media presence featuring your playing or lessons
- Experience teaching young children
