Job Overview

The Accounting Team Lead will manage the day-to-day delivery of accounting, bookkeeping, external audit support, and tax compliance services for a portfolio of UAE-based client entities. This role bridges technical delivery and team management, ensuring that client deliverables comply with IFRS, UAE VAT laws, and UAE Corporate Tax regulations while meeting strict regulatory and client deadlines.

Key Responsibilities1. Portfolio & Client Delivery Management

- Oversee and review client financial records, general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly closing files prepared by team members.
- Ensure strict adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) across all client financial statements.
- Act as the primary technical point of escalation for complex accounting treatments, revenue recognition, and intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate directly with client founders, CFOs, and finance teams to gather documentation, clarify queries, and review financial performance.

2. UAE Regulatory & Tax Compliance

- Lead the review and submission of monthly/quarterly UAE Value Added Tax (VAT) returns.
- Oversee UAE Corporate Tax calculations, tax return filings, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure proper maintaining of client dossiers, supporting schedules, and audit trails required by the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
- Keep up to date with evolving UAE financial regulations, including Economic Substance Regulations (ESR), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) reporting,



and Free Zone specific accounting guidelines.

3. Audit Support & Quality Control

- Prepare and review client "Audit-Ready" working paper files for submission to statutory external auditors.
- Standardize internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality control checklists, and review cadences across all accounts.

4. Team Leadership & Operations

- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of junior and mid-level accountants/auditors.
- Manage capacity planning, workflow allocation, and filing calendars to ensure zero missed client or statutory deadlines.
- Monitor team performance KPIs, accuracy metrics, and billable utilization.

Key RequirementsCategoryRequirement DetailsEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Qualified Qualification CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA OR CA Inter with proven core accounting experience.Experience5+ years of overall accounting/audit experience, with at least 2+ years leading teams within an accounting firm, audit practice, or corporate service provider.UAE Domain KnowledgeDirect experience handling UAE VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, and working with UAE Free Zone / Mainland entity structures.Technical StandardsExpert knowledge of IFRS and audit preparation.Software ProficiencyAdvanced hands-on experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Oracle NetSuite.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
