To support the mechanical design and development of camera-based products, including industrial cameras, embedded vision systems, and custom mechanical enclosures, from concept development through prototyping and product validation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in 3D modelling, 2D drafting, and detailing of mechanical components and assemblies using Creo Parametric.
2. Support the design and development of camera housings, enclosures, brackets, mounting fixtures, and mechanical accessories.
3. Prepare engineering drawings with dimensions, tolerances, GD&T;, material specifications, and surface finish requirements.
4. Understand and apply basic Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
5. Support prototype development, assembly trials, fitment checks, and design modifications.
6. Coordinate with manufacturing vendors for machining, sheet metal, plastic injection moulding, die casting, and other manufacturing processes.
7. Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams.
8. Support engineering documentation, BOM preparation, drawing release, and revision control.
9. Assist in mechanical testing and validation activities, including dimensional inspection, fitment, and environmental testing.
10. Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction,



and product improvement.

Technical Skills

- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawing concepts.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, and tolerances.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection moulding, and die casting.
- Understanding of materials, fasteners, and mechanical assembly methods.
- Basic knowledge of measurement instruments such as Vernier calipers and micrometers.
- Familiarity with Creo Parametric (Added Advantage)
