We aim to inspire and connect devotees across generations by presenting traditional narratives with high visual aesthetic, engaging pacing, and emotive production quality.
Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Videographer & Video Editor who can handle the end-to-end production of our devotional content. In this dual role, you will be responsible for shooting high-quality indoor and outdoor footage (storytelling setups, temple visits, devotional talks, and reenactments) and crafting them into polished YouTube videos, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
The ideal candidate understands devotional aesthetics, has an ear for Indian devotional music, and excels at emotional pacing and visual story structure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Videography & Production
- Plan, set up, and shoot indoor studio sessions (narrator/storyteller setups, discourses, podcasts) and on-location shoots (temples, outdoor cultural sites).
- Manage camera framing, cinematic lighting setups (key, fill, background accents), and high-fidelity audio capture (lavalier/shotgun mics).
- Direct talent subtly during shoots to ensure natural expression, proper eye-lines, and authentic emotional delivery.
- Maintain and organize camera gear, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment.
1. Video Editing & Post-Production
- high-retention short-form content (Shorts/Reels).
- Perform high-quality color grading to achieve a warm, serene, and devotional visual tone.
- Synchronize sound effects, and background music to elevate narrative emotion.
- Design clean on-screen Hindi/English subtitles, chapter titles, lower thirds, and call-to-action cards.
- Collaborate on designing high-CTR YouTube thumbnails and title concepts based on visual hooks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–3+ years of proven experience in video shooting and editing, ideally for YouTube, digital media, or narrative storytelling channels.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Capcut / VN
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects (basic motion graphics, text animations) and Canva
- Hands-on expertise operating mirrorless/cinema cameras (Sony Alpha, Canon, etc.), gimbals, multi-point lighting, and wireless microphone systems.
- Content Sensibility:
- Deep appreciation and contextual understanding of Indian culture, spiritual stories, mythology, and devotional music.
- Strong sense of pacing, narrative rhythm, and hook placement within the first 30 seconds of video content.
- Workflow: Reliable file management, adherence to publication deadlines, and openness to creative feedback and iterative revisions.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
- Experience with AI generation tools (Midjourney, Runway, Kling, ElevenLabs, etc.) to generate conceptual mythological visuals or historical backdrops.
- Fluency in Hindi (reading, writing, and proofreading devotional terminology for subtitles).
- Familiarity with YouTube analytics (audience retention curves, CTR).
