Job Title: Vehicle Testing (Vehicle Modernization, Instrumentations, Test Execution, Reporting)

- Role: Vehicle Modernization, Instrumentation & Vehicle Test Execution

- Qualification: DME

- Experience: Minimum 8 years
- Work Pattern: 3 shifts / 6 days

- Location: Hosur
- Experience : Vehicle Mfg. OEM and Vehicle testing (Must Knowledge in Manual Transmission, Clutch & DMF and External gear sifter cable)

Qualifications & Skills:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of comprehensive experience in vehicle testing, powertrain retro fitment activities, and prototype vehicle development.
- Proficiency in MS Office, test report preparations, Conduct the meetings and valuable English communication. And excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and carry out Gearbox retro fitment activities on prototype and development vehicles.
- Ensure correct installation, integration, and alignment of powertrain systems, including engine mounts, transmission assemblies, and associated components.
- Perform troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical, electrical, and integration issues identified during vehicle build and testing.
- Install and validate instrumentation systems such as sensors, data loggers, thermocouples, pressure transducers, and CAN monitoring equipment.
- Prepare vehicles for various testing programmes by ensuring all instrumentation and measurement systems are calibrated and functional.
- Conduct vehicle-level testing including performance, durability, drivability, fuel economy, emissions, and basic level of NVH evaluations.



• Monitor and record test data accurately using data acquisition systems and analyse results to identify concerns and trends.
- Support development engineers in validating powertrain and vehicle systems against design requirements and performance targets.
- Maintain detailed documentation of retro fitment activities, test setups, instrumentation layouts, and test reports.
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams for component availability, issue resolution, and implementation of engineering changes.
- Ensure compliance with testing standards, safety procedures, and vehicle build quality requirements during all activities.
- Conduct pre-test and post-test inspections to assess vehicle condition, component performance, and failure modes.
- Assist in root cause analysis of vehicle and powertrain failures identified during development and validation testing.
- Continuously improve protoshop processes, test methods, and instrumentation practices to enhance development efficiency and product quality
- Performing GSQA (Gear Shift Quality Analysis) measurements at vehicle level and preparing measurement reports as per test requirements.
- Performing Clutch Pedal Characteristics (CPF) measurements and preparing measurement reports for evaluation.
- Analysing field complaints and vehicle-related issues in coordination with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and determine suitable corrective actions.
- Maintaining vehicle critical spare parts equipment and spare inventory.
