What the developer will do

- Develop, maintain, and extend application logic in the Rocket UniVerse workplace.
- Own database-layer work across order management, inventory, purchasing, and reporting modules.
- Resolve high-priority defects and support escalations originating in the UniVerse data layer.
- Document data structures, business rules, and integration patterns as knowledge transfer progresses.
- Partner with .NET developers on end-to-end issue resolution.

Required candidate profile

- Five or more years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Rocket UniVerse, UniData, jBASE, D3, or another PICK/MultiValue database and application environment.
- Working knowledge of a PICK/MultiValue query language, such as RetrieVe or AQL.




- MultiValue data modeling, including file structures, dictionaries, and attribute definitions.
- SQL Server capability, including working with the SQL layer alongside UniVerse.
- ERP or distribution-system familiarity, particularly order management, inventory, or purchasing workflows.

Preferred experience

- Direct Rocket UniVerse experience.
- VB.NET or C# .NET experience, particularly in presentation or application-layer work.
- Win32 desktop client application experience.
- Wholesale distribution domain knowledge.
- Experience migrating PICK/MultiValue data to relational or modern data platforms.
