The Specialist Core Operations GTS is an experienced individual contributor responsible for managing complex operational workflows and providing advanced support across investment products. The role supports trade confirmation, completion and settlement, resolves operational and production issues, manages escalations, and contributes to initiatives focused on improving efficiency and reducing operational risk.

The Specialist also uses tools such as SQL, Power BI/Tableau and Alteryx for data analysis, reporting and automation, while supporting system enhancements, UAT, process improvements and knowledge sharing across the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently manage trade confirmation, completion and settlement across Equity, Fixed Income and other supported investment products.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Brokers and Custodians to investigate trade discrepancies and settlement issues.
- Provide advanced operational support and manage complex production issues and escalations.
- Analyze operational issues, identify root causes and support preventive controls and risk-reduction activities.
- Lead or contribute to process improvement, automation and STP initiatives.
- Use SQL for operational data analysis, reporting and troubleshooting.
- Develop dashboards and reporting using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools to monitor operational metrics and trends.
- Use Alteryx or similar tools to automate repetitive workflows and data-processing activities.




- Participate in system enhancements and UAT, including testing, issue identification and implementation support.
- Provide operational analysis and subject-matter expertise to support management decision-making.
- Support account onboarding and respond to complex inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members, provide process guidance and support cross-training.
- Maintain procedures and operational documentation and monitor team mailboxes to ensure critical items are addressed promptly.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
- Relevant experience in Investment Management, Trade Operations, Middle Office or related financial-services operations.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, including trade confirmation and settlement.
- Exposure to Fixed Income and Equity products preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience with Power BI/Tableau; familiarity with Alteryx is preferred.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Front Office, Brokers, Custodians, Compliance and Technology.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, take ownership and meet operational deadlines.
- Ability to provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members.
- Flexibility to support global teams and work schedules.
