Rang – The Multi Art Studio is a new multi-art space in Surat for dance, music, theatre, acting, film and the visual arts. We are hiring a full-time Studio Coordinator to run day-to-day studio operations and support visiting artists.

Key responsibilities

- Open and close the studio as per the schedule, and keep the space, equipment and facilities ready before each session
- Welcome artists, participants and visitors; verify passes and bookings; maintain attendance records
- Set up and operate sound (speakers, mixer, microphones, playback) and lighting for workshops, rehearsals and small performances
- Capture short videos and photographs during workshops, with participants' consent, and share organised footage with the content team
- Manage the studio calendar and rental bookings; respond to enquiries on WhatsApp, phone and email
- Maintain records in Google Sheets for bookings, payments received, petty cash, inventory and maintenance
- Coordinate with housekeeping, air-conditioning, electrical and other service providers
- Follow health and safety practices, including first aid, fire safety and emergency exits

Requirements





- 1–3 years in studio operations, event coordination, backstage theatre, hospitality or front office (freshers with relevant backstage or event experience may apply)
- Working knowledge of basic sound equipment and stage lighting, or a robust willingness to learn
- Good mobile photography and videography
- Organised and comfortable with Google Sheets, Google Docs and WhatsApp Business
- Clear, courteous communication in Hindi, Gujarati and English
- Dependable, punctual and composed under pressure

Preferred

- Experience in theatre production, a dance or music studio, or event management
- Basic editing in CapCut or InShot, and Canva
- Own two-wheeler for local errands

Employment: Full-time, on-site in Surat. Work schedule as per the studio calendar, including evenings and weekends, with a weekly off. Compensation: competitive, discussed at interview based on experience.
