Role Title OPSMVS System Automation Engineer In this role you will manage requests for creation or enhancement of monitoring and automation rules for Mainframe System Automation collaborating with IT teams globally as well as providing support in response to identified incidents The role will also involve project work that requires expertise in Mainframe System Automation and IBMz to design and deliver effective and appropriate automation solutions

Responsibilities

Administer and support the Mainframe System Automation area

Deliver automation at the quality and pace warranted by the business

Ensuring delivery to the customer while adhering to established global standards and best practice

Actively participate in achieving organizational efficiency objectives and undertake analysis to drive automation solution

Work closely with the stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solution as agreed





Requirements

Experience in Mainframe systems especially in System Automation area working with Mainframe automation product such as OPSMVS or IBM SANetView Work experience with both products is a benefit

Ability to code script using REXX programming language

Understanding of the Incident Problem Change Management processes

Experience of providing production support and troubleshooting for IBMz Mainframe systems Work on incidents issues to ensure completion within agreed deadlines

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Excellent verbal and written English skills
