Job Overview

Basulimata Agro Foods LLP is looking for an experienced and technically proficient Factory Operations Manager to independently manage and oversee its complete food processing and manufacturing operations.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the entire factory lifecycle, including raw material processing, cleaning, sorting, grading, quality control, packaging, inventory management and finished goods preparation for domestic and international markets.

The ideal candidate must possess strong knowledge of food technology, industrial food processing machinery, automated production systems and factory management. The person will be responsible for supervising existing factory workers, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining product quality and implementing effective operational procedures.

The candidate will report directly to company management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Factory & Production Management

- Independently manage and oversee all day-to-day factory operations.
- Plan, organise and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within specified timelines.
- Manage the complete production cycle, from raw material intake to finished product packaging.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for factory operations.
- Monitor production efficiency, resource utilisation and operational costs.

2. Workforce & Labour Management

- Supervise, manage and coordinate existing factory workers, machine operators and production staff.
- Allocate daily responsibilities and production duties.
- Monitor worker attendance, discipline, productivity and performance.
- Organise work shifts and ensure adequate manpower allocation.
- Provide operational training and ensure workers follow safety and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain an efficient and productive working environment.

3. Food Processing Machinery & Automation

- Possess practical knowledge of industrial food processing and manufacturing machinery.
- Understand the operation, configuration and maintenance of automated processing and packaging systems.
- Supervise machinery used for cleaning, sorting, grading, processing, weighing and packaging.




- Identify suitable machinery and technologies for different agricultural food products.
- Evaluate machinery capacity, performance and production efficiency.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate machinery servicing.
- Identify opportunities for automation and production-line improvements.

4. Food Processing & Product Management

- Oversee processing operations for agricultural and food products, including rice, puffed rice (muri), dried red chilli, soya chunks and other agro-food products.
- Ensure appropriate cleaning, sorting, grading, processing and packaging procedures.
- Monitor product quality, consistency, moisture levels and contamination risks.
- Optimise processing methods to improve product yield and reduce wastage.
- Ensure products meet the required specifications of international buyers.

5. Quality Control & Food Safety

- Establish and implement quality control procedures throughout the production process.
- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI regulations and food safety requirements.
- Implement and monitor GMP, HACCP and hygiene standards.
- Conduct and supervise raw material, in-process and finished product inspections.
- Maintain batch-wise quality records and production traceability.
- Ensure proper sanitation, pest control and protected storage practices.
- Coordinate product testing and inspections whenever required.

6. Inventory & Warehouse Management

- Monitor raw material, packaging material and finished goods inventory.
- Maintain accurate stock and consumption records.
- Monitor production yield, wastage, rejected materials and stock losses.
- Ensure appropriate storage conditions and stock rotation.
- Coordinate material requirements with procurement and company management.
- Ensure proper inventory reconciliation.

7. Packaging, Storage & Export Readiness

- Supervise bulk packaging and customised/private-label packaging operations.
- Ensure correct packaging specifications, weights, labelling and batch identification.
- Maintain product quality during storage and handling.




- Ensure finished products meet buyer specifications and applicable export requirements.
- Coordinate with the export and logistics teams for timely order fulfilment.

8. Reporting & Operational Improvement

- Prepare regular production, inventory and factory performance reports.
- Monitor production output, machine downtime, wastage and operational costs.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
- Recommend improvements in machinery, processes and production methods.
- Report factory performance, operational issues and resource requirements directly to company management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- B.Tech / B.Sc / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering or an equivalent relevant discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in food processing, agro-processing, FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Previous experience managing factory production operations and supervising factory workers is essential.
- Strong practical knowledge of industrial food processing machinery and automated production systems.
- Good understanding of food safety, quality control, HACCP, GMP and FSSAI regulations.
- Experience in production planning, inventory management and operational cost control.
- Ability to independently manage factory operations and take operational decisions.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in rice mills, grain processing, spice processing, agricultural food processing or packaged food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of optical sorting, grading, cleaning, weighing and automated packaging machinery.
- Experience with export-oriented food processing and international quality standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 22000 and other relevant food safety management systems.
- Experience in machinery installation, commissioning and production-line optimisation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on qualified who understands both the technical and managerial aspects of food manufacturing. The candidate must be capable of independently running factory operations, managing existing workers, handling machinery-related challenges and ensuring consistent production quality.

Candidates with practical factory management experience and strong knowledge of food processing technologies will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
