Role Description The Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing civil works at project sites in Chennai, ensuring that design intent, safety standards, and quality requirements are consistently met. This full-time, on-site role includes coordinating with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and vendors to implement civil engineering designs and resolve technical issues. Daily tasks involve monitoring construction progress, reviewing drawings, verifying levels and measurements, inspecting materials and workmanship, and supporting site planning and layout.

Engineer will also assist with stormwater management solutions, site grading, and drainage, while ensuring compliance with local regulations and project timelines. The role requires clear documentation of site activities, preparation of reports,



and proactive communication with the design team to support smooth execution.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Civil Engineering Design and general Civil Engineering principles.
- Candidates should possess practical experience relevant to Civil Engineers, including working on building and site development projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Planning, with the ability to interpret drawings, plan site activities, and sequence construction work effectively.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Stormwater Management, including drainage design, rainwater runoff analysis, and site water management strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in site supervision for architectural or landscape projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and permitting processes in Chennai or similar urban contexts.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, basic structural or civil design tools) and solid documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary design teams and communicate clearly with site personnel.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to safety and quality on site.
