ServiceNow SOMT Architect – Telecom / Fiber

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow SOMT Architect with strong expertise in Telecom Service Management, SOMT architecture and ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).

The ideal candidate should have experience designing end-to-end telecom/fiber service lifecycle solutions, including Quote-to-Order, Order-to-Fulfillment, Provisioning, Billing and MACD processes.

Key Responsibilities1. Telecom SOMT Architecture

- Design end-to-end ServiceNow SOMT architecture for telecom and fiber services.
- Design Quote-to-Order, Order-to-Fulfillment, Provisioning, Billing and Closure processes.
- Design Recent Order and MACD (Move, Add, Change, Disconnect) lifecycle processes.
- Define Product, Service and Resource relationships across the telecom service lifecycle.
- Design reusable and scalable telecom fulfillment patterns.
- Define integrations with CRM, CPQ, Billing, Inventory, Network/OSS and ERP systems.

2. ServiceNow SPM Experience

- Strong understanding of ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
- Design solutions using SPM Project and Project Portfolio Management capabilities.
- Experience with Project Charters, Projects, Tasks, Dependencies, Milestones and Project Status Tracking.
- Experience with SPM Epics and business initiative management.
- Align SOMT order and service lifecycle processes with SPM project delivery management.
- Identify when to use standard SPM capabilities versus custom extensions.
- Recommend standard ServiceNow functionalities while minimizing unnecessary customization.





3. Solution Architecture & Integration

- Develop end-to-end solution architecture and functional architecture.
- Define integration designs and data flows between SOMT, SPM, CRM, CPQ, Billing, OSS/BSS and ERP.
- Identify gaps between standard ServiceNow capabilities and business requirements.
- Recommend scalable, reusable and maintainable solutions.
- Ensure alignment with ServiceNow architecture best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 10+ years of overall IT / Solution Architecture experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SOMT / Telecom Service Management.
- Proven experience in telecom/fiber Quote-to-Order and Order-to-Cash / Order-to-Fulfillment solutions.
- Strong understanding of MACD processes.
- Experience in telecom product and service lifecycle management.
- Practical experience with ServiceNow SPM, including Projects, Project Tasks, Dependencies, Milestones, Epics and Portfolio Tracking.
- Strong experience in ServiceNow integrations and enterprise architecture.
- Ability to distinguish between standard ServiceNow functionality and custom development.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and solutioning skills.
- Presales experience is highly preferred.
