Title: Senior Techno-Functional Full Stack Consultant

Trade Order Management | Securities Trading | Java, Spring Boot, React

ROLE PURPOSE

Join us as a hands-on consultant-engineer working at the intersection of securities trading, trade order management and modern software engineering. You will translate front-office and product needs into resilient solutions, while remaining accountable for design, coding, testing, release and production stability.

BUSINESS OUTCOMES

- Improve the capture, validation and processing of securities orders across front-to-back workflows.
- Reduce delivery friction by connecting business requirements, architecture decisions and production-quality code.
- Apply AI-assisted engineering to accelerate analysis, development, testing and documentation without weakening engineering controls.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Lead discovery with traders, product owners, operations and technology stakeholders; convert needs into process models, user stories, acceptance criteria and solution designs.
- Design, build, test and maintain front-end and back-end components for global securities-trading applications.
- Develop secure REST APIs, service integrations and responsive user interfaces using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript and React.
- Model order lifecycles, validations, statuses, exceptions and downstream hand-offs across heterogeneous platforms.
- Contribute to architecture, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability and production support.
- Investigate functional and technical incidents, identify root causes and coordinate resolution across distributed teams.
- Use AI coding assistants responsibly for code generation, refactoring, testing and technical documentation, with human review and traceability.

DOMAIN CAPABILITIES (DESIRABLE)

- Working understanding of trade order management and order capture for listed securities.
- Awareness of Equities, Listed Funds/ETFs and Fixed Income instruments.
- Understanding of order types, lifecycle states,



pre-trade validations, execution hand-off, booking, amendments, cancellations and exception handling.
- Ability to analyse front-to-back impacts across trading, operations, data and control functions.

ENGINEERING CAPABILITIES

- Strong hands-on Java and object-oriented development; Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- JavaScript/TypeScript and React; ability to work across front-end and back-end codebases.
- REST API design and integration, relational data modelling and SQL.
- Git-based development, automated testing, code-quality practices and CI/CD.
- Production-grade engineering covering security, stability, performance, maintainability and observability.
- Practical use of GitHub Copilot or comparable AI-assisted engineering tools.

CONSULTING AND CLIENT ENGAGEMENT

- Run structured workshops and communicate effectively with both business and engineering stakeholders.
- Challenge ambiguous requirements, explain solution trade-offs and recommend pragmatic options.
- Create clear consulting artefacts including process flows, functional specifications, solution options and decision records.
- Support estimation, prioritisation, backlog refinement and release planning in Agile delivery.
- Contribute reusable assets, accelerators and engineering patterns.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- 8+ years of qualified experience delivering enterprise software, with recent hands-on coding responsibility.
- Exposure to securities trading, order management, capital markets or comparable transaction-processing platforms is an advantage, but not essential.
- Ability to combine business analysis, solution design and high-quality software delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in globally distributed Agile teams and supporting business-critical production systems.
- Hands-on experience in AI-based development, including delivery using AI coding assistants and AI-enabled engineering practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential).
- Location: Pune preferred.
