Key Responsibilities

1. Review US federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.

2. Review Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 1041, and 990.

3. Ensure tax returns are accurate, complete, and compliant with IRS regulations.

4. Review tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and reconciliations.

5. Analyse financial statements, trial balances, and general ledger accounts for tax reporting.

6. Identify tax discrepancies, potential risks, and tax-saving opportunities.

7. Provide technical guidance to tax preparers and resolve complex tax queries.

8. Review tax extensions, estimated tax payments, amended returns, and supporting calculations.

9. Ensure proper documentation and maintain high-quality tax files.

Coordinate with clients and internal teams to obtain missing financial information.

11. Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned engagements.

12. Stay updated on changes in US federal and state tax legislation.

13. Support process improvements and maintain consistent tax review standards.

Required Skills

- Strong US taxation knowledge.

- Prior tax review experience.

- IRS compliance knowledge.

- Excellent analytical skills.

- Proficiency in tax software and MS Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA, EA, or other relevant qualified certification is an advantage
