Company Description Superfan.ng is an edtech learning platform dedicated to African languages and culture, designed for learners across the continent and the diaspora. The platform uses a gamified, quiz-first experience to engage users and deepen their knowledge of African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. By combining education and interactive gameplay, Superfan.ng aims to make cultural learning accessible, enjoyable, and relevant.

Role Description The Senior Platform/Solution Architect will lead the design and evolution of Superfan.ng’s technical architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for a growing user base. This full time remote role involves defining platform standards, selecting appropriate technologies, and guiding end-to-end solution design across mobile, web, and backend services. The architect will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and integrations with third-party services.

Daily responsibilities include reviewing and improving system designs, mentoring development teams, conducting architecture and code reviews, and documenting architectural decisions and best practices. The role also includes assessing performance bottlenecks,



driving automation and DevOps-friendly patterns, and ensuring that the platform supports rapid feature experimentation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing end-to-end systems, defining architectural patterns, and making technology stack decisions.
- Experience in Consulting and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Hands-on Software Development experience in modern languages and frameworks, with the ability to prototype, validate, and guide implementation.
- Proficiency in Integration design, including APIs, microservices, and third-party platform integrations.
- Understanding of Business Process analysis and optimization, with experience mapping workflows to system capabilities.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in designing scalable, secure, and high-availability architectures for consumer-facing or edtech applications.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in African languages, culture, or edtech products is a plus.
