VACANCY: ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR – MINING OPERATIONS

1. Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Electrical Supervisor to take complete responsibility for the operation, maintenance, inspection, and supervision of all electrical installations and equipment at the mine site.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power supply, safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, preventive maintenance, breakdown management, and proper coordination of the electrical team.

2. Key Roles & Responsibilities

A. Complete Electrical Operations

- Take full responsibility for day-to-day electrical operations at the mine site.
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of all electrical equipment and installations.
- Supervise electrical systems, power distribution networks, transformers, HT/LT panels, motors, pumps, lighting systems and DG sets.
- Monitor electrical loads, power consumption and equipment performance.
- Ensure proper power supply to all mining machinery and operational areas.

B. Maintenance & Breakdown Management

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
- Attend and resolve electrical breakdowns with minimum downtime.
- Ensure regular inspection of cables, switchgear, motors, panels, transformers and other electrical equipment.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and breakdown history.
- Identify recurring electrical problems and implement permanent solutions.

C. Safety & Compliance





- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety procedures and mine safety regulations.
- Ensure proper implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work procedures.
- Ensure proper earthing, insulation, protection systems and electrical safety arrangements.
- Prevent electrical accidents through regular inspections and safety awareness.
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out by authorized and competent personnel.

D. Team Management

- Supervise electricians, technicians and electrical helpers.
- Allocate daily duties and monitor work performance.
- Ensure proper utilization and discipline of the electrical team.
- Guide and train team members in safe working practices.
- Take ownership of electrical work execution and completion.

E. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain electrical maintenance registers and daily activity reports.
- Prepare breakdown reports and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain records of electrical equipment, spare parts and consumables.
- Report major faults, safety issues and operational requirements to management.
- Maintain proper shift handover and takeover records.

3. Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mining, heavy industry or similar operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, motors, switchgear and power distribution.




- Experience in electrical breakdown handling and maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and applicable mining regulations.
- Ability to independently manage electrical operations at a mine site.

4. Working Conditions

- 10 hours of duty per day as per site requirements.
- Must be available to attend emergency electrical breakdowns when required.
- Will be responsible for electrical operations across the assigned mining site.
- Must be capable of working in a challenging mining environment.

5. Key Performance Expectations (KPIs)

- Minimum electrical downtime.
- Uninterrupted and reliable power supply.
- Timely completion of preventive maintenance.
- Zero tolerance for unsafe electrical practices.
- Proper maintenance of electrical records and reports.
- Effective management and utilization of the electrical workforce.
- Timely resolution of electrical breakdowns.

6. Most Important Requirement

The selected candidate must be capable of independently handling and taking complete ownership of all electrical operations at the mine site. The candidate will be accountable for electrical equipment performance, maintenance, breakdown management, manpower supervision, safety compliance and uninterrupted electrical services.

Candidates who require continuous supervision or are unable to independently manage electrical operations need not apply.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
