Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Production Engineer to run shift production, improve machine and process efficiency, and lead improvement initiatives across the foundry, delivering quality castings on time, safely and at optimal cost.

Location - Khandala MIDC, Near Shirwal.

Key Responsibilities

Production planning and execution

- Execute daily and shift production plans to meet dispatch targets.
- Allocate manpower, machines and patterns effectively.
- Coordinate with Planning, maintenance, quality and stores.
- Prepare daily production reports and shift handovers.

Process control

- Monitor and control key process parameters across all foundry operations.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, process sheets and control plans.
- Approve first-off castings after setup or process changes.

Machine and equipment efficiency

- Monitor and improve OEE of critical machines and furnaces.
- Reduce breakdowns and downtime with the maintenance team.
- Drive TPM, autonomous maintenance and setup-time reduction.
- Optimise cycle times, utilisation and energy consumption.

Quality and rejection reduction

- Analyse casting defects and drive root cause and corrective actions.
- Close internal and customer complaints.
- Reduce internal rejection & rework

Continuous improvement

- Lead improvement initiatives on productivity, yield, quality and cost.
- Drive Kaizen/ 5S and lean practices on the shop floor.
- Run cross-functional improvement projects and track savings.
- Support recent developments, trials and process standardisation.

Safety and compliance





- Enforce safe work practices and correct use of PPE.
- Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.

People management

- Lead shift operators and contract workforce.
- Train operators on SOPs, quality and safety; maintain the skill matrix.
- Build a disciplined, engaged shift team.

Requirements
Education

- B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Production Engineering.

Experience

- 2–4 years in foundry production (ferrous or non-ferrous).
- Hands-on exposure to moulding, core making, melting and finishing operations.
- Exposure to Induction Furnace operations preferred.

Technical skills

- Good knowledge of foundry processes and casting defects.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP/ MIS software tools exposure

Behavioural skills

- Strong shop-floor ownership;
- Clear communicator and team leader.
- Data-driven problem solver with a bias for action.

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹420,000.00 per year
