.Position: Area Sales Officer

Area: Electronic City

Coverage Location: Assigned Territory (50 km radius)

Department: Sales

Reporting To: Assistant Sales Manager

Job Purpose

To develop new markets, appoint dealers, generate primary and secondary sales, and increase brand presence in high-potential areas with limited or no existing dealer network.

Key Responsibilities

Develop current and untapped markets with high sales potential

Appoint and activate new dealers in assigned territory

Achieve monthly primary and secondary sales targets

Conduct regular dealer and site visits

Convert new construction sites and manage existing sites through daily site visits.

Collect and report market intelligence (competitor pricing, schemes, offers)

Conduct influencer activities (masons, contractors, engineers) with Tech Van support

Ensure timely collection of payments from dealers as per company credit terms. Regularly follow up on outstanding receivables, coordinate with accounts team, and ensure no overdue beyond approved limits.

Perform area mapping to understand market potential and identify prospective dealers.

Experience

Minimum 2+ years of field sales experience; experience in the steel, cement, or building materials industry will be preferred.

Daily Activity Targets

3 new dealer visits

7 site visits (4 new + 3 existing)





Daily market intelligence updates

Monthly Targets

Minimum 7 active dealers

Primary sales: 150 tons

Secondary sales: 40 tons

o50% from newly converted sites

o50% from existing converted sites

Conduct atleast 3 activities for influencers which can include Mason Meets / Engineer Meets / Barbender Meets etc.

Remuneration & Benefits

Fixed Compensation: The Cost to Company (CTC) for this role will be ₹25,000 per month, payable as per company salary structure.

Incentives are calculated on a per-ton basis, linked directly to the actual sales volume achieved by the Sales Officer. This performance-driven structure offers high earning potential with no upper limit for high performers. Incentives are applicable only when both primary and secondary sales targets are achieved, site mix criteria are met (50% new sites and 50% existing sites in secondary sales)

In addition to monthly incentives, employees who successfully complete one year of continuous service will be eligible for a yearly bonus equivalent to one month’s salary, payable in two installments, as per company policy.

The employee will be eligible for travel allowances/reimbursements as per the company’s travel and expense policy while performing official duties.

Candidate Profile

Field sales experience preferred who is willing to do site visits, dealer visits and maintain credit of the dealers on a daily basis.

Strong communication & negotiation skills.

Willingness to travel.

Fluency in Kannada is mandatory. Knowledge of additional regional languages will be an advantage.

Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license.
