The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Senior AI & Data Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Python, up-to-date data engineering and AI-enabled data platforms.

You will work on building scalable data lakehouse architectures, developing high-performance data pipelines, designing semantic data layers and integrating AI capabilities such as LLM-powered natural language querying and intelligent data discovery.

The ideal candidate is a strong data engineer who understands how to leverage AI to build smarter, more efficient and scalable data solutions.

What You'll Do

- Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Python and SQL.
- Build and manage data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources, leveraging AWS S3 and modern data platforms.
- Develop and optimize data lakehouse architectures, data warehouses and semantic layers.
- Build REST APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Implement data transformation workflows using dbt and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Contribute to AI-powered capabilities, including LLM integration,



natural language querying and AI-assisted analytics.
- Develop data catalogs, data dictionaries, validation mechanisms and guardrails to improve AI response accuracy.
- Adopt AI-native engineering practices using AI-assisted development tools, reusable skills and modern AI frameworks.
- Optimize data processing, query performance, data quality and system reliability.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, Security and Engineering teams to deliver production-grade solutions.

What We're Looking For 1. Data Engineering & Programming

- Strong hands-on experience in Python and advanced SQL.
- Experience building production-grade data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and semantic layers.
- Experience with dbt or similar data transformation frameworks.
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.

2. AWS & Cloud Engineering

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Working knowledge of AWS S3, IAM, CodePipeline, CodeBuild and related services.
- Experience building and deploying scalable cloud-based data solutions.
- Understanding of CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices.

3. Modern Data Platforms





- Hands-on experience with at least one modern data lakehouse, warehouse or data platform:
- Databricks
- Snowflake
- Dremio
- Apache Iceberg
- Trino / Presto
- Delta Lake

4. AI & Emerging Technologies

- Exposure to LLM integration and AI-powered data applications.
- Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), natural language querying or AI-assisted analytics.
- Experience integrating AI services into data platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern AI engineering workflows.

Good to Have

- Experience with Dremio, Arctic, Sonar and Reflections.
- Familiarity with MCPs and LLM-based integrations.
- Knowledge of entity resolution and matching frameworks such as Splink or Zingg.
- Experience with Kafka, Spark Streaming or real-time data processing.
- Familiarity with data cataloguing tools such as Apache Atlas or Collibra.
- Exposure to Power BI or similar analytics platforms.
