Role Overview The client is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the civil function of its Solar EPC business. You will build and lead the civil team and handle the civil side of projects from bidding through execution. You will be fully responsible for civil delivery and its profit and loss (P&L;) on projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Building

- Lead, build and mentor the civil team across multiple project sites
- Onboard and train recent engineers and supervisors
- Set clear goals, check performance and build a culture of ownership, safety and quality

Bidding, Estimation & Costing

- Study tender documents and analyse bids for the civil scope of utility-scale solar projects
- Prepare civil BOQs, cost estimates and rate analysis, and support pricing strategy
- Help the bidding team with technical proposals, clarifications and commercial inputs
- Assess site conditions, geotechnical data and project risks during the bid stage

Project Planning & Execution

- Plan, schedule and allocate resources for civil works across multiple sites
- Manage execution of civil works: site grading, MMS/pile foundations, control room and inverter room buildings, roads, drainage, boundary walls and fencing
- Make sure work follows approved drawings, specifications, timelines and quality standards
- Coordinate with design, procurement, electrical and project management teams, and with clients and consultants

P&L; & Commercial Ownership

- Own the P&L; of the civil side of the Solar EPC business
- Control budgets, track costs and find ways to reduce costs without affecting quality
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, including selection, negotiation, billing and performance

Quality, Safety & Compliance





- Enforce HSE standards and safe working practices at all sites
- Put quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes in place
- Keep proper documentation, MIS reports and project records

Candidate Profile

- 10 to 15 years of experience in civil engineering, with substantial work in utility-scale solar EPC or similar large infrastructure EPC projects
- Proven experience in an EPC leadership role on the civil side
- Hands-on experience in bid analysis, estimation, costing and tender support
- Strong project planning and execution skills, including managing several sites at once
- Good understanding of solar plant civil works, including piling, MMS foundations, grading, drainage and associated structures
- Commercial sense and experience managing budgets and P&L;
- Good leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable with MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD and MS Excel
- Willing to travel to project sites across India as needed
