About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Associate - Security Engineering with hands-on experience in securing Microsoft Azure data platforms, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of cloud identity management, data access controls, platform security and data protection.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement and manage security controls across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Azure data services.
- Configure and manage workspace-level permissions, user access and role-based access controls.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) across Power BI semantic models.
- Manage identity and access through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including security groups, service principals and managed identities.
- Apply least-privilege access principles across data platforms and cloud environments.
- Secure Azure data services such as Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL.
- Support data protection initiatives involving data classification, sensitivity labels, DLP, encryption and audit policies.
- Conduct periodic access reviews, security assessments and permission audits to identify and address potential risks.
- Collaborate with data engineering,



cloud infrastructure and governance teams to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Maintain security documentation, access policies and platform governance standards.

Mandatory Skills :

- 4+ years of experience in Azure Security, Cloud Security, Data Security or a related domain.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Power BI security.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), IAM, RBAC and access management.
- Practical knowledge of Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
- Experience with service principals, managed identities and identity-based authentication.
- Understanding of Azure data services such as ADLS, Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL.
- Knowledge of data protection, access governance, auditing and least-privilege security principles.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Microsoft Purview, data classification and data governance.
- Knowledge of DLP policies, encryption, sensitivity labels and compliance controls.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure or Security certifications.
- Experience securing enterprise-scale data and analytics environments.
