About the roleYou will be the company's senior in-house finance professional, owning monthly reporting and statutory compliance across multiple entities. You will work in office with the management team and act as the main link to our external CA for the balance sheet, audit and government submissions.

Key responsibilities

1. Financial reporting: Prepare the monthly P&L; and MIS reports for management.
2. TDS: Handle deduction and payment, including on lorry hire and contractor payments. File quarterly returns on Forms 138, 140 and 144 (formerly 24Q, 26Q and 27Q), and issue Forms 130 and 131 (formerly Form 16 and 16A).
3. GST: File GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-9/9C. Reconcile ITC, with export-specific handling, and apply the correct forward charge or reverse charge treatment to goods transport services.
4. Payroll: Prepare salary sheets, manage PF and ESIC deductions, and complete payroll filings.
5. External CA coordination: Work closely with our external CA on the provisional balance sheet, yearly balance sheet, audit and government submissions.
6. Export accounting: Manage forex entries, FIRC and DGFT records.

Multi-entity accounting: Maintain ledgers across entities and complete inter-company reconciliations.

Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant and ICAI member
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting, tax and compliance
- Hands-on experience filing TDS, GST and payroll returns, not only reviewing them
- Working knowledge of the Income-tax Act, 2025 and Income-tax Rules, 2026
- Experience preparing for audits and working with external auditors
- Experience with multi-entity accounts and inter-company reconciliation
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working in an ERP
- Able to work on-site full-time

Preferred background
- Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or exports
- Familiarity with GST on goods transport services
- Hands-on export documentation, including FIRC and DGFT records
- Experience in a company with multiple branches
