Job Purpose

We are looking for a sharp, analytical Civil Engineer with 4 to 5 years of hands-on site experience to transition into a consulting role within our Risk & Advisory Services team. Instead of managing daily construction, the ideal candidate will function as a technical auditor. You will leverage your in office engineering expertise to conduct comprehensive project audits, identify cost leakages, review project timelines, and assess risk across various client construction projects. This role requires exceptional communication skills to present strategic insights to corporate management and a strong willingness to travel frequently to client locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Schedule & Budget Diagnostics: Evaluate and analyse client project timelines, master schedules, and cash flows to identify bottlenecks, delays, and cost overruns.
- Techno-Commercial & Cost Verification: Review, validate, and cross-check material quantifications, contractor bills, variation claims, and measurement sheets to detect over-billing or financial leakages.
- Independent Site Audits: Conduct regular site visits to independently verify and certify the physical progress, actual volume, and technical quality of work executed by contractors against contractual agreements.




- Risk & Compliance Assessment: Audit site operations for compliance with standard Quality Control (QC) protocols and Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) guidelines, flagging potential legal or operational liabilities.
- Advisory Reporting: Synthesize complex technical findings from the field into clear, data-driven internal audit reports and presentations for senior management and corporate clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of solid field experience in core construction supervision, billing, quantity surveying, or project management.
- Audit Mindset: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to spot anomalies, discrepancies, and risks in construction data, contracts, and field reports.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced command of MS Office, with a heavy emphasis on MS Excel for large-scale data analysis, financial reconciliation, and progress modelling.
- Communication & Articulation: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; must be a confident speaker capable of presenting audit findings to corporate clients and managing difficult conversations with site teams.

Mobility: Highly flexible and open to frequent, short notice travel to various outstation client project sites.
