Job Description

Key Responsibilities

NDT Planning & Coordination

- Coordinate all NDT activities for structural steel, piping, pressure vessels, modules, skids, and offshore structures.
- Prepare and maintain NDT schedules in line with fabrication priorities and project milestones.
- Coordinate with production, welding, QA/QC, and client representatives to ensure timely inspections.
- Ensure availability of qualified NDT personnel, equipment, and consumables.
- Monitor daily NDT progress and update stakeholders on inspection status.

Inspection Management

- Coordinate conventional and advanced NDT methods including:
- Visual Testing (VT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
- Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)

- Review inspection requests and ensure inspections are conducted as per approved procedures.
- Verify inspection coverage and compliance with project ITP requirements.
- Coordinate repair inspections and re-examinations of rejected welds.

Documentation & Reporting





- Maintain NDT traceability records and inspection status reports.
- Monitor NDT reports for completeness and compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly NDT progress reports.
- Track weld repair percentages and generate management MIS reports.
- Maintain databases for NDT activities, radiography films, scan data, and inspection records.

Client & Third-Party Coordination

- Coordinate NDT activities with client inspectors, TPI agencies, and certifying authorities.
- Arrange inspection notifications and ensure client witness requirements are fulfilled.
- Support external audits, surveillance visits, and project quality reviews.

Resource & Equipment Management

- Monitor utilization of NDT technicians and inspectors.
- Coordinate calibration and certification of NDT equipment.
- Ensure availability of valid certifications for NDT personnel.
- Maintain records of NDT consumables and equipment inventory.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

- Ensure NDT activities comply with approved procedures, project specifications, and applicable codes.
- Monitor compliance with ASME, AWS, API, ISO, and client requirements.
- Identify schedule risks and recommend corrective actions to minimize project delays.
- Promote adherence to HSE requirements during NDT operations.
