Manira Exports is a hand embroidery and embellishment export house. We make couture embroidery for luxury fashion houses across Europe, the Middle East and the US.

We are hiring a Sampling Designer to own our sampling studio from end to end.

What you will own

- Turning client briefs, moodboards and references into embroidery designs
- Getting samples made with karigars within 5 to 7 days
- Choosing materials: beads, sequins, crystals, threads and base fabrics
- Briefing the CAD artist and checking artworks before they reach the floor
- Tracking samples and reporting daily status to the merchandiser
- Guiding the junior designer and the associate designers

What you need

- 5–8 years in hand embroidery design, with sampling for export clients
- Deep knowledge of zardozi, aari, beadwork, sequins, cutdana and 3D embellishment, stitching knowledge as well
- Experience working directly with karigars on the floor
- Able to meet rapid sampling deadlines without losing finish quality
- A portfolio of sampled work is mandatory
