Engineering Technician Eyecandy Robotics is building autonomous robot characters for entertainment. We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Technician to help assemble, wire, test, repair and maintain our robots. You will work closely with our hardware and software teams to turn designs into working robots and keep prototypes and demo units reliable.

What you will do • Assemble and disassemble robots and subassemblies, including motors, actuators, sensors, electronic boards and mechanical parts.

- Prepare and route wiring harnesses. Strip wires, crimp connectors, solder connections, apply heat shrink and secure cables neatly.
- Carry out basic electrical checks using a multimeter, including continuity, voltage and polarity checks, before powering up systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, replace damaged parts, repair wiring and support engineers with testing and debugging.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and functional checks to keep robots ready for development and demonstrations.
- Follow drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions. Record builds, repairs, test results and recurring issues.
- Keep tools, spare parts and the workspace organised,



and follow electrical, battery and electrostatic discharge safety practices.

What we are looking for • PG diploma or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.

- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in assembly, testing, repair or maintenance of robots or other electromechanical systems.
- Practical soldering, wiring, crimping and mechanical assembly skills, with careful handling of small components and connectors.
- Comfort using hand tools, soldering equipment, multimeters, calipers and basic workshop tools.
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions, and troubleshoot problems methodically.
- Attention to detail, reliable workmanship and clear communication with engineers and teammates. Valuable to have Experience with robots, motors and sensors, basic PCB rework, 3D printed parts or prototype fabrication.
