Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in Rishikesh. The Reporter will gather, investigate, and verify information related to institutional activities, scientific developments, events, and academic initiatives. Daily tasks include conducting interviews with faculty, researchers, and learners; attending seminars, conferences, and workshops; and developing clear,



accurate news articles and reports for internal and external publication.

The role involves producing multimedia content where needed, collaborating with communications and editorial teams, and adhering to ethical reporting standards. The Reporter will work to ensure timely coverage of key scientific and institutional stories, supporting AcSIR’s visibility and outreach.

Qualifications

- Strong reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to research, verify facts, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and writing abilities, including clear, concise, and audience-appropriate language.
- Competence in multimedia production, such as basic photo, audio, or video gathering and editing.
- Familiarity with science and technology topics or a strong interest in scientific reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Science Communication, or a related field.
- Ability to work in office in Rishikesh, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and maintain professional integrity.
- Prior experience in academic, science, or news reporting is an advantage.
