Job Summary

Responsible for teaching and training students in civil engineering subjects, developing lesson plans and course materials, conducting practical sessions, evaluating student performance, and providing academic guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures on civil engineering subjects such as Building Construction, Surveying, Strength of Materials, Concrete Technology, Structural Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, and Transportation Engineering.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments, and practical exercises.
- Conduct laboratory sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and field/practical training.
- Explain engineering concepts, calculations, drawings, and construction practices clearly to students.
- Prepare and evaluate tests, assignments, practical examinations, and semester examinations.
- Maintain student attendance, academic records, assessment records, and other required documentation.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance and individual support where required.
- Guide students in projects, practical work, seminars, and technical activities.
- Maintain and properly utilize civil engineering laboratory equipment, tools, and teaching resources.
- Ensure compliance with institutional academic standards, safety procedures, and curriculum requirements.




- Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, workshops, seminars, and other institutional activities.
- Stay updated with developments in civil engineering technology, construction methods, materials, standards, and industry practices.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Good teaching, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical manner.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant civil engineering software is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prepare technical drawings, reports, and academic documentation.
- Strong classroom management and student mentoring skills.
- Positive teamwork and organizational abilities.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Civil Engineering or a relevant qualification, as per the requirements of the institution and applicable regulatory norms.

Experience

- Teaching experience in a polytechnic, engineering college, ITI, or technical training institute is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience in civil engineering/construction may also be considered.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
