About the Role
SRES is looking for responsible Fire Fighting Technicians to handle inspection, operation, preventive maintenance and repair of fire protection systems at the Reliance Mappedu facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain internal and external fire hydrant systems, hose reels, valves, hoses and nozzles.
- Maintain sprinkler systems, sprinkler heads and control valves.
- Inspect and maintain ABC, CO₂ and Foam fire extinguishers.
- Assist in operating, testing and maintaining jockey pumps, electrical fire pumps and diesel pumps.
- Inspect and maintain fire alarm panels, detectors, manual call points and hooters.
- Identify faults and carry out basic troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and fire safety inspections.
- Attend breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
- Assist in fire drills, extinguisher demonstrations and safety activities.
- Maintain inspection checklists,
maintenance logs and service reports.
- Follow site safety procedures and client requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant technical trade.
- Basic knowledge of fire hydrant, sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
- Understanding of fire pumps and fire extinguishers.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Freshers with a technical background can also apply.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
- Valuable discipline, teamwork and learning attitude.
