We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Quantity Surveyor / Estimation Engineer to lead project costing, quantity takeoffs, and tender preparations. In this role, you will analyze civil/structural drawings, develop accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ), perform rate analyses, and manage contractor/subcontractor billing from bid stage through project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

- Quantity Takeoff & BOQ Preparation: Extract detailed, accurate quantities from architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings for all work phases (earthwork, concrete, masonry, steel, finishes, and external services).
- Cost Estimation & Rate Analysis: Formulate realistic project cost estimates based on Schedule of Rates (SOR/DSR), current local market inquiries, labor coefficients, machinery utilization, and overheads.
- Tender & Bid Documentation: Scrutinize tender conditions (NIT, RFP, GCC/SCC), compile technical compliance reports, prepare financial bid schedules, and identify potential commercial risks.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Commercials: Float inquiries, collect and evaluate competitive quotations, prepare commercial comparison statements, and assist in rate negotiations.
- Billing, Variations & Reconciliation: Verify subcontractor measurements,



prepare running account (RA) bills, process change orders/extra items, and maintain periodic material reconciliation reports (cement, steel, aggregate).
- Budget Tracking: Track ongoing site expenses against baseline estimates to identify and control cost variances.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Education: Btech / Quantity Surveying.
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 4 years of proven, hands-on experience in civil quantity surveying, tendering, and project cost estimation.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (complex costing sheets, lookup functions, pivot tables, data consolidation).
- Working proficiency in AutoCAD (for 2D measurement extraction and drawing verification).
- Solid grasp of CPWD/PWD specifications, standard method of measurement (IS 1200), and tender documentation.
- Core Competencies: Strong numerical accuracy, commercial acumen, contract interpretation skills, and the ability to meet strict submission deadlines.
