Key Responsibilities

- Inline & End-of-Line Inspection: Check during and after the stitching/production process to catch sewing errors, raw edges, skipped stitches, or broken threads. [1, 2]

- Measurement Verification: Compare finished items against tech packs, size charts, or approved buyer samples. [1, 2]

- Defect Identification: Spot fabric flaws (holes, stains, shade variations) and accessory issues (broken zippers, misaligned buttons). [1, 2]

- Reporting & Sorting: Isolate defective pieces, log quality errors, and report recurring issues to the line supervisor or production manager. [1]

- Typical Job Requirements (for Job Openings)

- Education: Usually 10th pass or above; specific training in apparel quality control is a plus.

- Experience: Ranging from freshers (with basic training) to 2–5+ years of experience in export or domestic garment units.

- Skills Needed: Knowledge of leather/garment construction, defect naming, measurement tape usage, and fabric inspection systems. [1, 2, 3, 4]
