We are hiring Senior Python Developers for one of our Investment banking client in Mumbai.

Experience : 7-12 years

Specific Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

- Solid command of modern Python (3.11+), including type hints and static type checking. Demonstrable experience building and operating production services, not scripts.
- Web service frameworks. Production experience with FastAPI, or equivalent depth in Django or Flask with a clear ability to transfer. Familiarity with data validation libraries and automatically generated API specifications.
- SQL and relational data modelling, at depth. Strong in SQL complex joins, window functions, query plans and performance tuning. Design normalised schemas, reason about keys and cardinality, and write set-based logic rather than looping in application code. PostgreSQL experience preferred.
- Data pipelines and ETL. Practical experience building ingestion and transformation pipelines: reading from source systems, landing data, transforming it into a curated model, and implementing reconciliation and data-quality checks. You will not own the pipelines day to day,



but you must be able to work on them competently and provide cover.
- Workflow and state management. Experience implementing approval workflows, state machines or case management, including validation rules and audit logging.
- Automated testing as a matter of routine — unit and integration — with meaningful coverage of business logic. Experience with pytest.
- Linux and deployment. Comfortable operating on Linux servers: service management, log management, troubleshooting a live application. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and artefact repositories.
- Version control and code review. Disciplined use of Git, branch protection and pull request review. Experience reviewing other engineers' work constructively.
- Communication in a distributed team. You will work daily with a stakeholder in London and periodically with infrastructure, identity and data-protection teams. Clear written English and the confidence to raise a problem early are essential.
