Role overview. Teach English live online to kids, students and working professionals in India and abroad. You will help learners speak, read and write with confidence, whether for school, work, exams, travel or everyday conversation.
Key responsibilities
- Teach the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, with grammar and vocabulary built in
- Run spoken-English and conversation practice focused on fluency, pronunciation and confidence
- Tailor lessons to goals such as business English, interviews, public speaking or exam prep (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge)
- Assess each learner's level (CEFR A1 to C2) at the start and plan a transparent progression
- Use interactive online tools: shared screens, documents, quizzes and role-plays
- Set homework and track progress on the dashboard across 12 to 96 session plans
- Keep sessions punctual and follow MakRew's code of conduct and child-safety policy
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching English online
- Excellent spoken and written English with clear, neutral pronunciation
- Ability to give at least 6 hours per week to MakRew
- Ability to teach learners from different language backgrounds
Preferred
- Certificates such as CELTA, TESOL, TEFL or TKT, or a degree in English, Linguistics or Education
- Experience preparing learners for IELTS, TOEFL or similar exams
- A strong social media presence featuring language tips or lessons
- Knowledge of Hindi or another Indian language to support beginners
