Namaste Design is looking for an Interior Design Intern to support our team on residential and commercial interior projects. This role is suited to someone who enjoys turning ideas into practical spaces, pays attention to detail, and wants exposure to both design and execution.

You will assist with concepts, drawings, presentations, material research, and project coordination while learning how interior projects move from a client brief to completion.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with space planning, furniture layouts, mood boards, colour palettes, and concept presentations.

- Prepare and update 2D drawings in AutoCAD and basic 3D models in SketchUp under the design team’s guidance.

- Help create client presentations and organise drawings, references, revisions, and project files.

- Research materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fittings that suit the design brief and project budget.

- Support site measurements, visit notes, photographic documentation, and follow-up on design details when required.

- Assist with material schedules, quantity lists, and coordination with the design and execution teams.

- Incorporate feedback carefully and communicate progress or questions clearly.

- Students or recent graduates in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related diploma or degree programme.

- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp.

- An understanding of dimensions, proportion, space planning, and materials.

- A portfolio showing your design thinking and presentation skills. Academic, personal, and internship projects are welcome.

- Valuable communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and follow through on tasks.

- Familiarity with V-Ray, Enscape, or other rendering software is an advantage, but is not essential.
