Role & Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor day-to-day manufacturing activities.
- Ensure achievement of production targets in line with delivery schedules.
- Monitor manpower utilization, productivity, and resource allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

2. Fabrication & Assembly

- Supervise fabrication, welding, fit-up, assembly, and running gear manufacturing activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and process requirements.
- Monitor fabrication quality and dimensional accuracy throughout the manufacturing cycle.

3. Planning & Coordination

- Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Stores, and Procurement teams for smooth execution of projects.
- Resolve production bottlenecks and ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Participate in production review meetings and provide progress updates.

4. Quality & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to applicable international codes and standards, including ASME Sec VIII and BS EN 13094/EN 13530 as applicable.
- Monitor implementation of WPS, PQR, and welder qualification requirements.
- Ensure compliance with IMS, ISO standards, and company quality procedures.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

- Promote a strong safety culture on the shop floor.




- Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines and statutory requirements.
- Drive implementation of 5S and continuous improvement practices.

6. Team Leadership

- Lead and motivate production teams to achieve departmental objectives.
- Develop team capabilities through coaching and skill enhancement initiatives.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs

Desired Skills:

- Solid knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes
- Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings
- Hands-on experience in TIG, MIG, and SAW welding processes
- Knowledge of WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification requirements
- Experience in skid, piping, and structural fabrication activities
- Understanding of production planning and shop floor management
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation
- Knowledge of quality standards, IMS, and 5S practices
- Understanding of running gear, braking systems (EBS/ABS), pneumatic suspension, and wheel alignment
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong coordination skills with internal departments, customers, and vendors
- Leadership abilities with experience in managing production teams
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and result-oriented approach.
