Role & responsibilities
- Dispense medicines to patients according to valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions, dosage, frequency and medication instructions.
- Maintain proper stock of medicines and medical supplies.
- Monitor medicine expiry dates and prevent expired stock usage.
- Maintain records of medicine purchases, sales and inventory.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines according to temperature requirements.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow hospital pharmacy policies and applicable drug regulations.
- Educate patients about medication usage, dosage and precautions.
