About the Role

Variety India is looking for a Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer who can bring entertainment, celebrity, lifestyle and editorial stories to life through engaging video content.

The role involves taking ownership of projects from brief to final output while working closely with the editorial, creative and social media teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit high-quality content for Instagram, YouTube, Reels and other digital platforms.
- Work on interviews, celebrity content, entertainment stories, event coverage, promotional videos and social-first content.
- Create motion graphics, title animations, transitions, lower thirds, typography and visual effects.
- Adapt long-form content into engaging short-form videos and social cuts.
- Develop creative editing styles based on the content, platform and audience.
- Collaborate with editorial and creative teams to understand briefs and translate ideas into strong visual content.
- Ensure consistency in visual quality, branding, audio, pacing and storytelling.
- Manage multiple projects and deliver work within deadlines.
- Stay updated with current video trends, social formats and editing techniques.




- Explore and incorporate AI-powered video and creative tools where relevant.

Requirements

- 3–5 years of qualified experience in video editing and motion graphics.
- Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of motion graphics, visual storytelling, typography, transitions and sound design.
- Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms.
- Good understanding of different video formats, aspect ratios and platform requirements.
- Strong creative eye and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Experience in media, entertainment, publishing, lifestyle or digital content is an advantage.
- Experience with AI video generation/editing tools is a plus.

Portfolio Requirement

Candidates must share a portfolio/showreel showcasing their video editing and motion graphics work.
