Job Description – Lab Chemist

Department: Quality Control / Laboratory Industry: Chloromethane / Chlor-Alkali Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years Qualification: B.Sc. / M.Sc. Chemistry (Relevant laboratory experience preferred)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lab Chemist with a minimum of 5 years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in the Chloromethane / Chlor-Alkali industry. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Gas Chromatography (GC) analysis, chemical testing, quality control, and laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine chemical analysis and quality testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Conduct Gas Chromatography (GC) analysis for product composition, purity, and impurity identification.
- Carry out laboratory testing related to Chloromethane / Chlor-Alkali products and processes.
- Ensure accurate sampling, testing, recording, and reporting of laboratory results.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analytical equipment.
- Perform chemical analysis as per standard testing procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain laboratory records, test reports, and analytical documentation.




- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, chemical handling procedures, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve process and product quality issues.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and calibration schedules for laboratory equipment.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Hands-on experience in Gas Chromatography (GC) analysis is mandatory.
- Knowledge of chemical testing and analytical techniques.
- Experience in Chloromethane / Chlor-Alkali industry laboratory testing is preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory instruments, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and SOPs.

Preferred Industry Experience: Chloromethane, Chlor-Alkali, Chemical Manufacturing or Petrochemical Industry.

Note: Candidates with practical GC analysis experience and chemical industry laboratory exposure will be given preference.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
