A Rigger at Sanghvi Movers Limited (SML)—India's largest crane rental company—is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing safe, heavy-duty lifting and material-handling operations across industrial sites such as wind energy, power plants, refineries, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Rigging & Load Planning: Calculate load weights, centers of gravity, and lifting radii. Select the appropriate slings, shackles, hooks, wire ropes, spreaders, and lifting gear.
- Equipment & Gear Inspection: Conduct pre-use and daily inspections of all rigging accessories and gear, replacing worn or damaged components immediately.
- Site & Crane Coordination: Work closely with crawler/mobile crane operators, site engineers, and client representatives during high-capacity lifts.
- Signaling & Communication: Guide crane movements during blind or complex lifts using standard hand signals, two-way radios, or communication protocols.
- Ground & Safety Checks: Inspect ground/soil bearing capacity, use outrigger/crawler mats, level lifting platforms, and identify site hazards (overhead power lines, unstable ground, or bad weather).
- Assembly & Disassembly Support: Assist technical and maintenance teams in the physical assembly, reeving,



and dismantling of heavy lattice boom or telescopic crane systems on site.
- HSE Compliance: Strictly adhere to SML’s internal safety policies, ISO standards, and site-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Typically requires 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience in heavy rigging, crane operations, or large-scale construction/infrastructure projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of heavy hydraulic telescopic and crawler lattice boom cranes (ranging from smaller capacities up to massive 1,600 MT units).
- Skills: Strong spatial awareness, mathematical sense for load calculations, clear communication/signaling abilities, and a strict commitment to safety protocols.
- Mobility: Must be willing to travel and work on a pan-India basis at various project sites.

Pay: ₹21,500.00 - ₹28,500.00 per month
