The Job Description (JD) for a Crawler Crane Operator at Sanghvi Movers Limited (SML)—India's largest crane rental company—focuses on safe, high-capacity lifting operations across major industrial and infrastructure sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Day-to-Day Lifting Operations: Operate heavy-duty crawler lattice boom cranes (ranging from smaller capacities up to massive 1,600 MT units) for projects in power plants, wind energy, refineries, steel metals, and infrastructure.
- Pre-Operation & Equipment Inspection: Conduct thorough daily/pre-use checks and routine inspections of the crawler crane, tracks, lattice boom components, wire ropes, and safety cut-offs.
- Site Execution & Rigging Coordination: Work closely with riggers, site engineers, and client representatives to execute secure lifts, load charts, radius calculations, and ground/soil bearing checks (including the use of mats or proper platform leveling).
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Strictly follow SML’s internal safety protocols, ISO standards, and site-specific HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines.
- Logistics & Assembly Support: Assist technical and maintenance teams during the time-intensive assembly, reeving, and disassembly of crawler crane booms on site.




- Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification / License: Valid/Certified Crane Operator Certificate or license appropriate for crawler crane classes/capacities.
- Education: Technical or vocational qualification in crane operation, heavy equipment operation, or a related mechanical field is an advantage.
- Experience: Generally 3 to 5+ years of practical experience operating heavy lifting equipment, specifically large-capacity crawler cranes (experience in sectors like wind turbine erection or refineries is highly preferred).
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of load charts, anti-two-block systems, and crawler undercarriage/lattice boom dynamics.
- High attention to detail, discipline, and a strict commitment to safety rules.
- Good teamwork and communication skills when coordinating with riggers and site supervisors.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹61,000.00 per month
